There is a mystery with these in that the Land Petition for William cannot be attributed to any known relative. At first it was thought it may have been William b.1801 but Convict Records show that he was on a convict ship bound for Australia when this petition was listed.

Who this person was remains a mystery but it is somewhat inconcievable that he was not related.
